NeWP Technology Institute

It’s the weekend before we start our first session of the Technology Institute. We have been busy preparing sessions and developing our syllabus, but the bottom line is that nothing really happens until we meet the members of the institute. That’s when the Nebraska Writing Project really starts to shine.

The best teachers of technology use technology themselves. In preparing for this course, I’ve already become overly immersed in new technologies. It can be overwhelming and confusing, but I think that all in all, the more I learn, the better I will be able to teach. Throughout this course, I hope to expand my own knowledge of educational technology, so that when the 2013-2014 school year begins, I will have a whole toolbox of ideas for my classroom. I hope that all of you feel this way as well.
